This blog is feeling a little empty lately without any pet posts. Here are a couple recent shots of Sophie and Barnie.
Sophie would not do her usual “posing” for this shot, and while I was waiting for the nose print on the lens, I actually like how this one turned out. Happy dog.
Here is a photo of Mr. Barnie. In the sun, bathing. He takes “sunbathing” to a whole new level. Can you see the big slabs of wet lick-y fur? Nice to have a “clean” cat, but notsonice to cuddle with if you are unsuspecting…
Last night about midnight, I was shutting things down and Mr. Barnie, my companion for these tasks, was nowhere to be found. Odd. At first I was amused, thinking of where he might be cozied up sleeping. Then, after 20 minutes of looking everywhere in the house, no Barnie. I still shudder at the dryer incident, and while the dryer was empty, I still had to look. Nope. (Thank goodness!) Did he get outside somehow? Brrrr freezing out there. Nope.
Called husband in on the search. Nothing. Oh where could that cat be, and how could I lose a cat in my own home?! Finally, I found him – on the 4th or 5th trip to my sleeping daughter’s bedroom. There he was, cozy and content in her closet with several stuffed animal toys. Just enjoying some quality bathing time while completely ignoring my increasingly frantic “here kitty, kitty – here Barnie” calls.
The look he gave me is just like this sunbathing one…. “What? Did you call? I was busy.”
