Rejoice over touch © cnynfreelancer on FlickrThe holidays traditionally have not been the time that people think of adopting or fostering shelter animals. This has changed in recent years however, thanks to programs such as Iam’s Home for the Holidays and adoption sites such as Petfinder working together to increase awareness and help pets find forever homes over the holidays.

Thankfully, there are two excellent options available to help pets now and help people decide if adoption is right for them at this time.

On a personal note
I have been spending a lot of time at Petfinder.com and related sites. I’ll update as soon as I have any sort of news.

This dog, pictured below, just melted me. The search came up using The Shelter Project site (with PetFinder as the search engine), and even though this dog was waaay far away from where I am, I had to email and find out his story. The shelter answered my email within an hour – he was just adopted! I am happy, and… kinda sad about that, too. 😉
