Wordless Wednesday
I have never done a ‘Wordless Wednesday‘ but it is a type of blog hop. You post a photo and do not caption it. I think the viewers do. This is where you come in.
(I may have broken the rules typing this intro, but hey. It’s my first time.)
Your captions (comments) needed:

The Simple Life
Quincy is about a year and a half now, and always keeps us on our toes.
Last week, sometime during the night, Quincy commandeered the dog biscuit container and spent the morning vomiting up dog biscuit gruel. This morning, the tummy trouble was some string (ACK! – My biggest fear with him is eating string or yarn and developing a linear foreign body needing surgical intervention.)
breathe – breathe – breathe
Of course in Quincy’s world, everything is simple.
He is either slumbering on the choice bed in the house:

Or he is perfecting his all purpose innocent look:

My Cats as Cartoons
I feel like I am the last one to learn about Simon’s Cat. How did I miss this artistic genius? My daughter was watching YouTube, I was trying to write, and kept hearing miaow-miaow-miaow on the screen and (gasp) told her to turn it off.
Then I took a second look. And a third, and a forth…
And laughed out loud at the way this artist captured cats’ behaviors and funnyisms.
I see Quincy in this one:
Oh memories…
And we all know how kitties love BOXES
I haz a box…
And the first video. The one my daughter was watching. The one with all of the miaows.
This one is Barnie all the way
(Well, except that he can’t miaow.)
But he is a kneader and a lover from day one. And a kitty who likes his dinner.
Here is an interview with Simon the artist, talking about the creative process. Here is the Simon’s Cat You Tube channel and web site for more kitteh funnies.
Sliding into the weekend
The 4th of July was Monday. We survived the fireworks. Even though the week is short, it is still exciting looking forward to another weeeeekend!
Have fun.

Barnie Gets His Wish
A few days ago, I happened upon this scene

This is not normal for my house. As much as I love and adore my pets, they are NOT allowed on the table. No matter what the current sleeping arrangements may be. (I had to laugh though, at how perfectly he placed himself on that placemat.)
This prompted a discussion about the cats and how nice a new cat climber would be. For exercise and to keep them off of the table.
This made for some very happy kittehs

And we lived happily ever after. No more fuzzy cuteness lounging on my table.

Argos, Dog of Luxury
Over at Teva’s house, Argos discovered an uber-deluxe dog bed. He’s cool with that. And he loves his bed, too.
But the other day he found two beds stacked on one another as I moved them around the house.
He immediately seized the opportunity.
He seemed puzzled at our laughs, but hey – after retiring from the race track, he deserves every little comfort. Or in this case, all comforts piled on top of each other.

Update
Road Trip!
As I wrote in the previous post, our best buddy Teva is undergoing treatment for lymphoma. I am hitting the road with Teva the Wunderdog and Heather tomorrow to revisit the WSU oncology team for more cancer-fighting fun.
We have snacks. We have fresh water. Lots of chat time. And dog cookies – must have dog cookies.
My pet clan is staying home, but we’ll be back soon.

As much as I want to pack you, Quincy, not gonna happen.

I have been writing about pets and veterinary medicine on the
