Rabies in the news again, this time the 8 confirmed cases of rabid raccoons in NYC’s Central Part. This is just for the early start of 2010. For all of 2009, there were 12 confirmed cases. A trend? No one is sure, but measures are being taken to vaccinate wildlife and protect the dogs and people who visit the park.
