I woke up to great news – Darby the Dog has found a home at last. Her story was a sad one — her owner died while he was on vacation. I wrote about Darby and added in thoughts on pet care planning in May. Darby, an only-pet, was stationed at a kennel without any family members or friends who could take her in.

Thanks to a niece living across the country (@shonali) and the power of social media, Darby found a forever home with a family of four, including two boys who have lots of dog-kid activities planned for their new dog.
